With a Master’s degree in Planning & Development from USC — one of the nation’s top planning programs — along with Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Policy, Faisal brings a level of land-use, zoning, and development expertise that is uncommon in residential real estate. Before entering brokerage, he served as Director of Planning & Development for the Los Angeles City Council’s 5th District, representing communities including Westwood, Century City, Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Mid-City, and the Wilshire Corridor. During that time, he helped establish one of the first wildlife corridor programs in the United States, work that earned recognition from both the Los Angeles City Council and the Mayor.

Today, that background gives clients a distinct advantage. While many agents focus solely on the home itself, Faisal evaluates the bigger picture — zoning regulations, permit history, easements, development potential, and the opportunities or limitations that may not be obvious at first glance. For buyers, that means avoiding costly surprises. For sellers, it often means uncovering value that others overlook.

His expertise extends well beyond theory. Faisal has personally renovated multiple properties through the full permitting process and has developed high-end steel-frame homes throughout the High Desert. His firsthand experience navigating construction, land development, and entitlement challenges allows him to advise clients from the perspective of both a builder and an investor.

As the broker-owner of one of the longest continuously operating real estate brokerages serving the High Desert, Faisal has guided everything from traditional residential sales to complex transactions involving institutional sellers, nonprofit organizations, and development opportunities.

A longtime High Desert resident and investor, Faisal has also owned and operated successful vacation rental properties since 2010, giving him a practical understanding of the region’s housing market from multiple perspectives — as a homeowner, investor, developer, and broker. His passion for conservation remains a central part of his work as well. He is currently dedicating 54 acres of privately owned land to native plant and wildlife preservation, continuing a mission that began during his years in public service.
